All participants MUST be in camp on Saturday morning. Activities available on this weekend will be canoeing skills and night canoeing
Who Can Attend the Canoeing Weekend This is open to all scouts and Venturers who wish to log same canoeing hours,it is preferred that each group provide a minimum of one leader/ parent helper for every four scouts if at all possible and tentage/ canoes and PFD’s for your youth and adults attending. PLEASE Note,This activity will be self catered and will be camping in tents each group must supply their own equipment and food for the weekend
Who needs to complete this form
Everyone that is attending the canoeing activity must complete and return this form that means Leaders, youth, mums & dads, carers.
All participants will require
A group tent, Clothing for two days, pyjamas or clothing to wear to bed, 2 pairs closed in shoes ( one for water), broad brimmed hat,
mess kit ( plate, cup, knife, fork spoon,bowl, 2 T towels), Sleeping bag, blanket, air mattress, towel, toiletries (No aerosol cans i.e. roll on deodorant), sunscreen and roll on insect repellent, torch & spare batteries Plus an extra towel for the showers
All youth members when not involved in activities will be under the direct supervision of their home groups.
Leaders/ Venturers/ Rovers who hold a current water qualification will be required to assist in the areas of canoeing.
Parents will be required to assist in the areas of catering and first aid supervision at the dam ( must have first aid certificate),
This E1 form is for the canoeing activity only – travel arrangements should be undertaken by the home Group and a separate E1 form done by the home Group.
